A little introduction:
Lothian refers to the Scottish region which Edinburgh lies in. And I am a lass, hence "A Lass in Lothian".
For the next 5 years, I will be attending the University of Edinburgh's Royal School of Veterinary Studies. I've never been to Scotland before so it should be a BIG adventure.
I want to thank my parents for helping me get over here! They are simply the best and will miss them, Nathan, Aspen and Quiz dearly until Christmas!!
Toodles

Hurray!!
Ladies and Gentlemen,
My Visa finally came!! It only took 6 weeks and lots of faxes and phone calls.
Visa Timeline from HELL!!
August 3:
My application was mailed then received on August 5.
September 2:
My wonderful sent an e-mail to the Visa Complaints asking if my visa had been lost. Quickly got a reply stating "your application was deferred for further information and depending on what type of information was requested it can take 6 - 8 weeks to receive a response". BLAH!
September 7:
After moving my flight from Sept 5 to Sept 13, I sent a lovely fax letter politely telling them to hurry their British asses up. Thankfully, Hurricane Earl
September 9:
Woohoo!! Someone called me! Mr Eric gave some bad news...my visa had been deferred for "security reasons" although he did/could not say specifically. He informed me that he was taking a lot of time in his busy to call me. Sigh. Again, moved the flight from 13th to the 18th.
September 16:
My dad left a curt message stating that my entire year would be ruined if I didn't get to leave soon. Love him!
September 17:
Got a call from Mr Eric on my way to the agility trial. In a "hypothetical" situation, someone's fingerprints partially matched an arrest record. Also, stated he was afraid of my dad.
September 21:
Mr Eric called!! His minions mailed my visa overnight!
September 22:
VISA!!!
Finally, I'm over here in one piece!
